I called to make a simple appointment for a consultant to come out. Instead, I was put through what felt like a 20-minute telemarketing script filled with questions that had nothing to do with scheduling. I finally had to stop the representative and say I couldn’t do this and needed to hang up. This was not a consultation nor an opportunity to set an appointment— it was a sales interrogation. They ask you personal information of your address and your telephone number right up front before offering to set an appointment. It felt a little suspect. If you value your time, be prepared for a very long phone call just to book an appointment.

I feel compelled to share my recent experience, which (sad to say) is still ongoing. I purchased 3, large sliding windows for $15,000. I had a very pleasant experience with the sales rep, Brad from the North Texas office. He was well spoken, thorough and did a great job. However, ever since the purchase, the service experience went downhill fast. The 1st crew that came out did a good job with install, aside from one of the new, rookie installers who bent two of the three screens. We then found that 1 of the 3, $5,000 window panes had to get re-ordered since there was a marking inside of the glass that couldn't be removed; I also requested that they replace both, bent damaged screens when they're out for replacement. The 2nd crew that came out for defective windows pane replacement is what really pushed me a bit over the edge. Here's where it got bad - this crew had already put the screen on the new window pane and upon inspection following install, I noticed they didn't clean the glass inside prior to doing so, it has cloudy residue from the window film throughout the inside of the screen area and they tried to leave it without cleaning. Once I looked over the install and noticed this, I said something politely - the conversation quickly escalated and this individual got very defensive, where I felt they lied to my face that they "were going to clean it" since they had already installed the screen and had already goodbye. If they were going to clean the outside glass, then they wouldn't have put the screen on in the first place! They also didn't have the 2nd screen that was damaged with the original install. They then removed the screen, cleaned the window thoroughly and we then found that the new window pane had worse markings within the glass than the original, where it had to be reordered again! I was/am very disappointed that Renewal By Andersen didn't get it right on the second attempt so this is going to happen all over again a 3rd time. Please note, every time the install takes place, I have to take 2hrs out of my time to move a full stand full of equipment, rug, and shades out of the area, then cleanup the mess left behind and put it all back together. I requested that a manager call me to discuss some sort of credit for the inconvenience and I still haven't heard from anyone after a couple of months. I've had someone call and let me know that the new window pane was ordered, but nothing more, my request to speak to a manager has fell on deaf ears and they didn't try to provide credit or resolution. My time is worth something, and on top of that, the escalated conversation with the last crew definitely rubbed me the wrong way where I will not let that same crew in my house again. The overall experience has been extremely poor and the job still isn't done. I sure hope no one else goes through an experience like this, it is not nearly acceptable in my opinion. As a business owner myself, this was an extremely disappointing experience and if I provided services like what was experienced myself, I don't think I would have many happy clients or clients at all, that's for sure. I will be following up myself since no one has the courtesy and care to do so after multiple requests. I sure hope the 3rd install attempt goes smooth so I can put this extremely disappointing experience behind me.

Once the we sale was done you don't exist anymore. The temp outside was in The 30s. I tested the glass temperature, just like they did during their sales pitch, on the new windows against the old windows we didn't have replaced and there was no difference!

Just beginning the process which went very well for measuring and getting financed. If was just rating that part of process it would be 5 stars. Just need to wait for installation and see if quality of windows matches examples shown before I post a final rating

The whole process from the no pressure consultation to the installation was amazing. They custom made the windows to our measurements which took some time but that was ok for the beautiful windows that were installed. The installation team was there when they said they would be and were clean and professional. You would've never known they were there afterwards. They kept their areas clean during and deep cleaned after.

These windows are VERY nice; the crew was very professional, precise and achieved in a five-hour time period. Great job, Jimmie and Crew

Worst company I have ever dealt with, took over 4 months to get doors, the whole time I never got a call from salesman or Renewal by Anderson. When I reached out to salesman, he ghosted me, and when reaching out to office personal was treated like I was bothering them and dismissed me with no answer on when doors would get there. I wish I could give negative stars review.

- First and foremost, Renewal by Anderson (RBA) should have waited to send this survey until after all work was completed. We are still awaiting mason and drywall work. I did receive a call prior to them sending the survey and asked if it was to just cover the installation period. It was confirmed it was for the installation only. However, the first question, "How likely are you to recommend Renewal by Andersen to a family member, colleague, friend or neighbor?" is a wholistic question and the conversation with the gentleman on the phone was misleading. - Windows are phenomenal and definitely look good. Installation was also phenomenal with Craig H. and his team explaining the entire installation process, potential pitfalls of the installation (more on that later), exterior brick work that would need to be completed (more on that later as well) and interior dry wall work that would remain. They were courteous, took care to cover all personal items in the room being worked and always cleaned before they left at the end of the day. 10 out of 10 for the installation team. - Kyler M. came out to measure windows and was extremely accurate resulting in no issues during installation. 10 out of 10 for Kyler and his measurements. - Sales process was a little disappointing starting with the first phone call. Lady wanted my windows' life history. I wanted windows. She kept asking questions about what my windows looked like (hazy, broken, fogging, leaking, etc.) but I already knew I wanted windows replaced. Finally got an appointment and RBA Sent David B. to perform the demonstration and explain what types of windows we would get. Took initial measurements and provided the estimate. We signed the documents and the order was placed. Of importance is that after the order was placed, there would be a 25% penalty for cancellation and that is IF RBA even allowed me to cancel. - What was NOT discussed by David was that the smallest round window was 24" and would not fit our original location. The exterior bricks needed to be removed to allow removal of the old window and installation of the new. RBA is sending a mason to repair the bricks with the brick wok scheduled a week after installation which is completely acceptable. Also NOT discussed was warning that our blinds would likely not fit after installation. With the number of windows we are having replaced, the cost of new blinds would equal a smaller house's complete window This should absolutely be discussed during the initial sale. Craig took one look prior to installation and said the 2" blinds would not fit as they were installed after installation. Nor would the half-moon blinds fit. If the installation team can tell in 30 seconds, the salesman can be trained to also know if blinds will fit. Working a plan for replacing the valences but just another additional cost that was not planned but could have been. Third, the narrow windows in the front of the house were not big enough to have the cross bars in the windows. The original windows did. We were called 1.5 months after the order was placed with the update. This change drastically changed the look of the windows but was too late to cancel without penalty, if RBA would have allowed. The last item was not as significant but just another item that should be clarified during the sale. Painting is not part of the installation, inside or outside, if required after installation. I was told during the sale that painting was included and that I would provide the paint. Kyler mentioned the "no painting" during the measurement so I asked David. He replied that outside painting was all that would be completed. When Craig arrived and we discussed options for a couple areas that would need built in, he stated there is no painting offered by RBA inside or outside. - At this level, attention to detail matters. Everyone but the sales team met that bar. Would I recommend RBA to friends and family? Yes, but with some words of wisdom provided before they sign any contracts.
