Renewal by Andersen might be worth 3X the price of other brands, if the pros outweigh the cons, for you. I love the look of the windows, however I think I would just get a different brand in the future to save money, unless it was a very specific application. The pros vs cons for us are : Pros: --They have a window grid option to match the look of the grids on original wood windows. --The screens are the finest mesh that I've seen (therefore the easiest to see out of). --They did an aluminum wrap on the exterior wood window sills, which is great for durability. --Great customer service. --Great communication. --Great installation crew. Cons: --Defective grids. In our case, the grids on the windows were improperly mounted to ALL 3 windows, meaning that they either weren't straight, were misaligned, and/or had large gaps in the seams. They are now going to replace ALL 3 windows to fix this problem. --Windows (and sliding doors) feel "heavy" and therefore are harder to open/close than other brands. --Annoying sales tactics. Salespeople always attempt to make you feel like you're getting a discount/deal, but ultimately, they charge about 3X more than other brands/vendors. Example: 3 windows from them were about $15K, but 3 (larger) windows (Milgard brand) from another vendor were about $5K. (Both brands of windows have similar u-factor, solar heat gain coefficient, and visible transmittance numbers.) --They required 2 additional appointments, as compared to other vendors. One is to test for lead in the paint (due to age of our house), the other one is to have an inspector come by after the job. Inconvenient. --The inspector might go into other rooms of your house (that did not have any work performed), to check that your smoke alarms are up to code. --The nice aluminum wrap on our exterior window sills has a weird bend in one seam, and it doesn't match the other side, but it only matters if you care how it looks when standing up close.

Hi Bill, thank you for sharing your experience with us. We appreciate the feedback.
DO NOT! I REPEAT DO NOT! Trust this company for your next project. I was sold on a door and two windows for 27,000 dollars with the promise of “no payments no interest for 1 year”. After signing the contract and installation of the products, i received notice from the finance company they use “Sunrise Financial” that my payment was due the following month. I called the finance company and told them i was promised no payments 0 interest for one year and they said it was nowhere in the contract. I contacted the sales rep by text with no response and I was hung up on by phone call. I contacted Renewal by Andersen and they shifted responsibility to me as the consumer for signing the contract and said my problem had to be resolved with “Sunrise Financial” since they had given me the loan. I asked to talk with the sales representative that came to my house and conveniently- she is no longer employed with their company. Im in the process of filing complaints with the BBB and CFPB. I warn you all as consumers- find a better company to do business with that wont use dishonest practices and tactics to get your business.

Rich, thank you for reaching out. We have sent your feedback to our team.
I was initially happy with our new doors until I realized one of the door windows has a crack in it. Getting this window replaced in our new door has been a long, drawn-out process. The crew finally came today to install the replacement panel. Not only did they bring the wrong part, the paint was scratched. So far, I am NOT getting the quality product we paid for.

Their work was incomplete and defective; they were missing parts. before they returned they asked me to agree to payment, claiming they were returning for warranty work. They had never completed the instillation so this was not warranty work. I specifically told them i did not agree to making that payment until they had finished. Despite my not approving the payment they used my credit card to pay themselves: $20,614.94. In my opinion this was dishonest, unfair, and unprofessional.

Absolute rip off. 3 times the price of what a contractor will do it for. Had them out for warranty work on poorly installed windows. Did nothing but run a bead of caulk and called it good. Now I’m dealing with water intrusion and black mold. They will not take responsibility for the install or the warranty repairs that didn’t help. Want to charge me to come out and fix their botched installs. Suing them. Slam dunk
